They are being given everything from hoodies to iPods.
With all the fanfare surrounding the upcoming 2012 Summer Olympics in London, one aspect of the Games may be getting overlooked: how the British athletes themselves are treated.

According to a report filed on the Eurosport Web site, the 542 athletes will receive huge quantities of equipment ranging from hoodies and sports bras for women to Bermuda shorts for men.
Their hands and feet have been dipped in plaster for a future Olympic wall in London. And, strangely enough, they’ve been given iPods preloaded with cheering.
“It’s been an absolutely amazing experience, probably one of the best experiences I’ve had as an athlete,” said badminton player, Chris Adcock. “It makes me feel like part of Team GB…this is where it really sinks in. It’s really hammered it home today that we’re close and we’re getting there.”
The outfitting for British athletes has been called the “Team GB Experience”.
