Boston Survivors Welcome Baby Girl

"Marlowe" was born last month.

“Marlowe” was born last month.

Despite all the tragedy and suffering that resulted from the two bombs that detonated at the finish of the Boston Marathon last year, one happy story exists.

According to Mass Live, Caroline Rensch was badly wounded in the blasts. Her boyfriend, Christian Williams, was also injured.

While in the hospital, Rensch found out that she was pregnant.

“Any pain or suffering I felt has been replaced with joy,” Williams said. “Discovering that I was going to be a father is how I’ll always remember the marathon.”

Their baby girl, Marlowe, was born last month and they call her “miraculous.”

“Few people are given a chance to see how lucky they are in life. Marlowe reminds us of that,” Williams said.

Both Rensch and Williams were at the finish line of last year’s race and were knocked off their feet by the blast.
