A running clinic was held for them last weekend.
The Associated Press has a touching story about a running clinic for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings in April.
The clinic was held on Sunday at the Harvard athletic fields.
Celeste Corcoran, who lost her legs in the attack, was there, wearing a yellow “Boston Strong” hat.
“Normally you walk around and you see everybody with two legs. Especially in the summertime — all you see is legs,” she said. “But when I see everybody here walking and running, it’s OK. I just want to be able to do the things that I did before. … So many people have my back, I feel like I can do it. I’m trying my hardest to enjoy being alive.”
Corcoran hopes to eventually be able to take part in a 5K or a fun run.
“I’ve always wanted to be a runner but I used to get shin splints,” Corcoran, who was injured at the finish line in Boston, said. “I don’t have shins anymore, so I’m hoping.”
