Bolt Dismantles Field At Festival Of Excellence

On a rainy night in Toronto the Jamaican Olympic champion proves his dominance.

Usain Bolt made a dominant return to the track Thursday, winning the 100 meters in 10.00 in his first race since an April car accident.  In the process Bolt defeated 2004 Olympic 200-meter champion Shawn Crawford by a staggering .25 seconds.

On the meet’s “undercard”, American Dathan Ritzenhein made his 2009 track debut, taking second in the men’s 5000 meters in a time of 13:34.  This was Ritz’s first test since the London Mararthon. Next up will likely be the 10,000 meters in Eugene at the USATF Outdoor Championships later this month.
