Another Big Announcement For Ritzenhein

First a new addition to his racing schedule, now a new addition to his family.

Dathan Ritzenhein, who announced earlier this week that he’ll be running the New York City Marathon in November, made an even bigger announcement via Twitter on Friday night: the birth of his second child, Jude William Ritzenhein.

“My son Jude William Ritzenhein born today, 7lbs 15oz, 19.5 in. Great job to my beautiful wife Kalin! Both are doing awesome,” Ritzenhein posted to his Twitter account.

Ritzenhein and his wife Kalin have a two-year-old daughter, Addison, who was born in the fall of 2007. The family now lives in Portland, Oregon, where Ritzenhein is a member of the Nike Oregon Track Club Elite and trains under coach Alberto Salazar.
