Allen Johnson Calls It A Career
Former world and Olympic hurdle champion announces retirement.
American hurdle ace Allen Johnson, the 1996 Olympic champion in the 110 hurdles, announced on Saturday he was retiring from track and field. “It’s just come to the point where my body can’t take it any more,” admitted the four-time world champion. “Maybe I can coach some hurdlers or some sprinters…give something back. I’m going to miss it, I really am, but it was fun.”
