sponsored: #RUNNOVATION – The Race Between Men And Women

That Was Then

In 1990 one woman crossed the finish line at a road race for every three male finishers.

This is Runnovation.

Now more women than men are racing on the pavement: 5Ks are the most popular race distance, with 6.2 million finishers, followed by 1.8 million finishers at half marathons, 1.5 million 10K finishers and 487,000 finishers for marathons (a number that had been projected to be in excess of 500,000 if the sold-out NYC Marathon was not cancelled).
