Scenes from the 2016 New York City Marathon

It was a perfect fall day in New York for the 46th running of the New York City Marathon on Sunday. A record number of runners—52,049—started the five-borough race from Staten Island to Central Park. Mary Keitany (2:24:26) and Ghirman Ghebreslassie (2:07:51) won the women’s and men’s titles and 10 Americans placed in the top 20 of each race. (All images from PhotoRun.net.)
