Do not try this at home!

On a 2008 season episode of Discovery Channel’s MythBusters, show hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman test the myth of whether or not rigorous exercise is a quick sobering cure for drunkenness. Adam is the test subject and must run for five minutes at 6.5 mph with a blood alcohol concentration of .09. As seen in the video, Adam has poor body coordination from the start, which quite literally leads to his downfall. Thus, we’ve concluded it’s never a wise decision to run under the influence. It only seems to make it worse. There’s also a much higher chance of a nasty faceplant.
