Enduro WOW: Mamil

Defining the word of the week: mamil.

mamil (ma’am-ill) n. A British acronym for “middle-aged men in lycra.” First appearing in a humorous BBC News article last August, this term is typically made in a disparaging remark about a particular someone’s midlife crisis. Proper age range for a Mamil is between 35 and 44, since that is how old men are when they begin buying “fancy pants” and carbon fiber rigs, retail analyst Mintel found. (BBC’s term in quotes.)

Look at that Mamil! He wouldn’t have had to drop 5 g’s on that superlight set up if he’d lost that gut!
