An Excited Hall Ready To Toe The Line

Some consider him one of America’s best hopes for a distance medal in London, but for Ryan Hall, it’s all about the excitement.
But instead of being excited to stand on the podium, Hall is just happy to be healthy at the start.
“To be honest, my build up for this marathon has had many rocky moments, everything from MRIs to plague-like sickness, but through it all I have been able to not miss any workouts and I feel well prepared,” he said.
Specific to the injuries, Hall admits he’s tackled a persistent bout of plantar fasciitis.
He’s 29 years old now and ran a staggering 2:04:58 marathon at the 2011 edition of the Boston Marathon–a race fueled by a benevolent tailwind.
”I always get excited to run marathons but the London 2012 Olympic Marathon will generate a whole new level of excitement in me when I toe the starting line,” he said.
Hall was a former standout at Stanford University and currently holds the U.S. half marathon record.
